Experienced Breeders
The Founder of Potomac Labradors, Philip Waesche, started breeding Labradors in 2004 in West Virginia on the banks of the Potomac River. He focused on the genetics of Labradors and studied how to improve the breed with each litter for over ten years. Philip became a U.S. Infantry Marine and had to take a leave of absence as he served our country. Now, we are happy to announce re-establishment in 2019! At Potomac Labradors we are dedicated to improving the Labrador breed, first and foremost. It takes a lot of nurturing and patience to breed the best dogs, but most importantly it takes love for the animals and that's where we come in! We've taken the upmost care to preserve our breeders and their offspring. ALL of our puppies are born in supreme health and with stable temperaments and an unmatched loving nature. Our dogs are all tested and cleared of genetic disorders, fun, loving, clean, calm and non-destructive. As we are family owned and operated, our dogs receive lots of love and attention from our six kids, including two babies. Our breeders are our family pets!

We specialize in Champion English Bloodline Labrador puppies.
English Labs are calmer, sturdier, more levelheaded and much, much easier to train. They tend to be a bit shorter in stature, meeting the AKC regulations; they have a heavier build, thicker tail and a block head.
What is a Champion Bloodline Dog – The term champion bloodline simply means that you have a purebred dog with an ancestor that was awarded a championship title.
A champion or Grand champion title means that they have been seen by many experts in how a Labrador should be built and move.
Champion bloodlines refers to the fact that at least one of that pup's parents or grandparents managed to earn an American Kennel Club (AKC) Championship title.

Thanks to Labradors intelligence, eagerness to please and willingness to work hard, Labradors are invaluable workers in a variety of fields. They're among the most popular choices for service dog work, as well as search and rescue, bomb and drug detection and therapy dog work.
Many of our dogs have or will go to veterans who have served our country, hunting homes and loving companion homes.
We have 5+ acres for our fur babies to have fun, play and enjoy life. Our kennels are cleaned twice daily and treated twice weekly. In our contracts, we give you specific health guarantees for 24 months of being free from hip and elbow dysplasia.
